6,000 kilometres. Four runners. One of them is ours.
Griff set out from the tip of Cape York on 1 August with Motion Four Justice, running the length of the country to raise money for Destiny Rescue and their work protecting children from exploitation. We are backing him the whole way.
Who is running
Griff has been here since the start.
Griff is one of our support workers, and he and Manny have known each other since year one at school. He came to us with the idea, not the other way around.
He is one of four runners covering the whole 6,000km together, around 75km every day, which is close to two marathons back to back. They left the tip of Cape York on 1 August and expect to reach Wilsons Promontory in about 80 days.
We are sponsoring the run so the crew have physios, food and the logistics behind them to actually finish it. He is coming back to work with us when it is done.
“This is a topic that cannot wait, so let’s get on with the job of saving these kids.”

Why this one
Child safety is not a module we tick off.
Every worker here goes deeper on child safety training than Manny has ever been inducted into anywhere else he has worked. A big part of what we do is with kids and teenagers, so it is the part we are least willing to be average at.
When Griff came to us about the run, it was not a hard call. It is the same thing we already ask of everyone who works here, just with a lot more kilometres attached.

Updates from the road
Griff is filming as he goes. We will be putting those up on our Facebook and Instagram as they land.
A Pal Supports day
One day of the run is ours. The crew will be running it in our gear.
Meet the man himself
We recorded a support worker profile with Griff before he left. It goes up while he is out there.
Pal Supports sponsors Motion Four Justice, who are running to raise funds for Destiny Rescue. Destiny Rescue is an independent charity and is not affiliated with Pal Supports. If you want to donate, go direct to runaustralia.org so every dollar lands where it should.
